WSA Community Consultants specialises in community development, regeneration and social inclusion.  We have a strong ethical approach and values, with an emphasis on being inclusive, respectful and accessible. We provide a high-quality but competitive service with professionalism and integrity.

Putting communities at the heart of their own development

We actively engage with communities.  We have a strong track record in building and strengthening local involvement and leadership. We believe in empowerment and use a range of engagement tools. We also like to train local people as community researchers and build up their skills to influence local services.

Engaging partners to make lasting change

We develop close working partnerships with community, voluntary and the public sector to support and deliver tangible and sustainable improvements to local communities. We share our expertise and experience, and help develop tailored solutions and the skills and confidence to maintain them.

Community Development

We directly work with communities to engage people in strategies, projects, needs assessments or evaluations that affect them. We build community leadership, train community researchers and support and empower local communities to make a difference.

Stakeholder Involvement

We work on a strategic level to engage a wide range of partners in strategies around community engagement, community development and other current policy areas.  We develop policies, procedures and processes.  We work with stakeholders to develop evaluation frameworks using a theory of change approach and undertake external evaluations to feed into learning.

Participation, Networking and Learning

We support and facilitate learning across different stakeholder groups and within and across communities. We like to use creative methods and tools to support learning and be realistic around feeding learning into practice taking an action learning approach.  We have run a number of learning events and worked with community members as facilitators and champions.
