WSA Projects Overview

WSA Community is committed to developing and sharing knowledge and experiences. Through building networks to bring people together, all of the projects we work on inform each other, leading to the experiential learning that is part of our value base.

Our projects often contain elements of all three aspects of our work. We have highlighted some projects in each category to illustrate the range and breadth of what we do in each area.

Community Development and Engagement

Involving communities in changes that will affect their future plays a significant part in WSA community projects. We work alongside residents, charities and local groups to support communities harness their collective power and bring their plans to fruition.

We aim to equip them with relevant, practical tools so that they can continue to work independently with confidence.

Evaluation

Our broad background in community development and related areas has enabled us to provide informed, independent
evaluation of projects from local to national scale and communicate our findings in clear, useful reports. We have developed our own realist Theory of Change framework, which we use to plan and deliver evaluation.

Lived Experience

We work on a range of projects to encourage and build participation of patients and the wider community to inform health services, policies and strategies. Alongside that, we work directly with people with lived experience to support them in sharing their stories to drive change.
